What do you think of our community facilities, how could these be improved, what do you think would benefit the community?

The main buildings already available for community use are the community centre on Brownhills Road and the library on Burntwood Road.

Other facilities include churches, church halls, pubs and clubs.

The Neighbourhood Plan will include policies which seek to retain and enhance these facilities, offering opportunities for community activities to start and grow and ensuring the infrastructure supports this.

We would like to ensure that any development requiring planning permission that would result in the loss of a community facility will only be supported when a replacement facility of equal or better quality is provided.

If that is not possible we would ask for evidence from a minimum of 12 months active marketing that shows the facility is no longer viable in either its existing use or an alternative community use.
